In-situ hybrid towers

Some of today’s wind turbine projects are more than 170 metres high, concrete at the bottom, steel at the top. In-situ construction versatility enables design solutions with no restrictions on height or size to meet challenges influenced by site conditions and accessibility. Our solutions can be adapted to offer a wide range of construction flexibility to suit site conditions, availability of concrete type, labour, and other local circumstances.

In Situ casting can start when the first foundation is built and finish the first 12 towers (60MW) at the same time as the steel towers.

InWind offers a simple solution that lowers the LCoE and provides local content to the projects. It is a solution without height limitations, nor logistical constrains,  that optimizes the combinations of concrete and steel in order to obtain the best structural behavior and cost, according to the geography and market. The early start capacity of in-situ casting allows for demanding delivery times to be met. This proven technology has been used in other applications for many years, such as bridge post tension piles and dams.

Inwind´s technology and tower design offers a simple, reliable and global solution to building tall hybrid towers thanks to the experience of the group formed by Calter, Tecozam and relevant players in the market.
We have the capacity to design and construct the wind turbine foundation, the assembly of the entire hybrid tower, the sourcing of the steel section and the building of a full concrete tower. All requirements and specifications of the customer are delivered by Inwind in a full EPC package.

Tecozam is a leading civil engineering company, currently providing specialised services in Spain, UK, Portugal, Slovakia, USA, Panama, Sweden, Finland, Serbia, Poland and Qatar. Tecozam is the largest in-situ concrete casting company in Spain, and has gained a tremendous experience within this field over the years. This enables Tecozam to fully optimise every process, from designing and preparing the armour-steel, designing and servicing the in-situ casting moulds, as well as sourcing and operating or supervising a site in almost any country.
